Did you know that over 13 million babies are born early every year, and more than half a million in the United States? Did you know that prematurity is the leading cause of neonatal death. Most moms don’t, which is why World Prematurity Awareness Day on November 17th is so important.
Please join Jessica from Four Plus an Angel and I as we share our stories and experiences with having premature babies with the hope to educate expecting parents about the possibility of and potential risks associated with preterm births.
A recent survey on prematurity awareness found that 75% of parents don’t know the definition of prematurity which is being born at or before 37 weeks gestation age. My twins were born at 35 weeks. Jessica’s triplets were born even earlier, and though our stories are very different, we both feel strongly that bringing awareness to premature births is vitally important.
If you have experience premature birth, tell us your story and link up so that you too can help spread awareness with us. And we are excited to announce that for every blog post linked up, the amazing people at Artkive and Clomid and Cabernet will donate $1 to March of Dimes.
