Lawry’s Signature Burger Recipe…With A Twist!

Here’s the great thing about burgers….you can pretty much eat them every night of the week and not get sick of them. Why? Because they are so versatile! Switch up the kinds of meats you use, the toppings, stuff them, grill them, bake them, fry them…the possibilities are endless!

So when my sister had a get together a few weekends ago, I chose to bring sliders as an appetizer. I figured everybody loves burgers, so why not make some bite-sized snacks that people could just pop in their mouths? Since I was making a bunch of them to take to my sister’s house, I decided to make a few extra for the kids’ lunch. The kids LOVED them! They now ask for them all the time.

Lawry's_Logo Let me share the best burger recipe with you. What makes this recipe so fantastic is that it is super easy and quick to throw it all together.

Lawry’s Signature Burger Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Pepper
1 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

And that’s it people! You mix it all together, shape it into patties, and grill over medium heat for about 4-6 minutes per side. You can’t get any easier than that. This recipe rocks, and it will become your go-to burger recipe.

I wanted to do something fun for the sliders I took to my sister’s house, so I decided to make Mediterranean Sliders as well as Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders. You’ll need a few extra ingredients including: feta cheese, roasted red bell peppers, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, buns and Lawry’s Balsamic Herb Marinade and Lawry’s Original Seasoned Salt Marinade.

I love Lawry’s marinades because they are made with real fruit juice—instant inspiration for meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. All you have to do is pour it on and let marinate for 30 minutes. Then grill, bake, broil or sauté. So easy!

But guess what? I’m not going to use the marinade to marinade meat! Nope! I’m going to use the marinade as the spread on the buns of my sliders instead of dragging out a bunch of condiments! Pretty clever, huh?!

Let’s start with the Mediterranean Sliders. Make the signature burger recipe as described above, and grill those burgers! It was so hot outside that I wanted to stay in the air conditioning, so I used my George Foreman grill.

Once they’re done grilling, lightly toast the hamburger buns (optional), and then spread about 1/2 teaspoon or so of Lawry’s Balsamic Herb Marinade on each bun. Place the slider on top of the bun, and add some feta cheese and finely cut roasted bell pepper to the top of it.

The Balsamic Herb Marinade is made with balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and the perfect blend of Italian herbs (rosemary, basil, and thyme), and so it gives it a tangy flavor. This burger is AWESOME, and my husband asks for it at least once a week. It’s my new favorite, and I could eat it every day!

Now let’s make those Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders. Make the signature burger recipe as described above, and grill those burgers! Once they’re done grilling, lightly toast the hamburger buns (optional), and then spread about 1/2 teaspoon or so of Lawry’s Original Seasoned Salt Marinade on each bun. Place the slider on top of the bun, and add some shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon to the top of it.

The Original Seasoned Salt Marinade is a sweet/savory blend of spices that is perfect on just about everything. The kids even wanted more of this to dip their french fries in!

The newest meal request at our house? Sliders, french fries, and pickles…the kids eat every bit of it and couldn’t be happier!

Now I know you are going to want to try these Lawry’s marinades…and there are so many to choose from! Get creative and give them all a shot! I know for sure that the Balsamic Herb Marinade has become a staple in my pantry!
