Project Smile – December

Happy New Year To You!

I wanted to kick of the New Year with a smile, or how about a whole month of them?!

My wonderful friend Alicia over at A Beautiful Mess had the most fantastic idea…do something to help us find and appreciate our smiles. What are the things that happen everyday that make you smile? It could be something as simple as watching a hummingbird dance around a flower. Want to know more about her wonderful idea? Read her Launching Project Smile post.

There’s no right or wrong way to do this…simply jot down things that make you happy. I chose to do one a day for the entire month. It was a way to remind me that it’s the little things that are the most important, and to find something to smile about each day (especially on the bad ones!).

Now, start jotting down your smiles and link up the last day of every month!

st – Watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with Tater. Brought back all kinds of childhood memories

nd –

rd – Tater went to bed at the same time as the girls! Hubby’s working, kids are sleeping, and I have the TV all to myself.
th – Put up my Dept. 56 Christmas village

th – I started to prepare my “pitch” to get a sponsorship to BlogHer 2011!

th – I got my cool wreath and door hanger from the Celebrating Home party I had (if you see anything you like, my sister-in-law sells it!)

th – Bowling. I suck, but it’s fun
th – Reading with the kids
th – A glass of wine and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
th – Got our family pictures taken, and the kids got their picture taken with Santa
th – Tater spent the night with Auntie S, and was so excited that it made me happy too!
th – Poker, beer, and homemade tamales at my sister’s house
th – Took the kids to the park
th – 16th – Dealing with sick husband (again) and kids. Not so much smiling going on.
th – Impromptu party with neighbors and friends. A fun evening that we need to do more often.
th – Our huge family Christmas party…Santa comes for the kids and everything!
th – Quiet, rainy day at home in pajamas
th – Happy birthday to my sister A!
st – Happy first birthday to my best friend’s little girl!
nd – Found out some good news I will share soon…(no, I’m not pregnant!)
rd – All 3 nieces came over to make cookies. It was a fun afternoon!
th – Christmas Eve excitement
th – Watching the wonder in the kids’ eyes
th – RELAXING and doing nothing
th – No rain…the kids got to play outside and get out of my hair
th – Ms. M fell and was hurt badly enough to make a trip to the doctor – she was okay though, and that’s what is important (that story is coming to you next week)
th – I posted a list of my favorite posts from 2010, as well as my reader’s favorite Mommy of a Monster posts from 2010
th & 31st – I got the stomach flu. Fortunately, Twitter kept me entertained while I was praying for death in bed
