Okay Dear Friends, I Need Your Input

I’ve been going through a thing – I don’t know what to call it – and I’m feeling kind of lost as a blogger. I have been posting less, but trying to engage on facebook and Twitter more. I haven’t been sharing a whole lot of my day-to-day life because I feel like all I do is whine about how much the kids drive me crazy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all crazy, all the time, but it’s a lot of work and a lot of times I’m overwhelmed and feel like I don’t know what the heck I’m doing.

And then I talk to other moms, and low and behold, they feel the same way. So maybe I should be blogging about it.

Long story short, I’m lost. I’m not sure what I want. I LOVE blogging about food and sharing recipes and kitchen tips. I LOVE blogging about blogging. I LOVE blogging about green living and gardening and wine and reading and writing fiction. I LOVE blogging, I’m just not sure what I want to blog about!

So what I really want to know is, what do YOU want to see when you visit?

If you have a few minutes, I’d love for you to take this short survey so that I can get feedback from you! Thank you in advance, and if I missed anything, feel free to leave me a comment.

  1. I vote wine, reading and writing fiction. But I'm partial. :) Ericka @ Creative Liar recently posted..The RoxyMy Profile
    • It's so good to hear from you, and I LOVE your advice ;) I just wrote a fiction piece today: http://mommyofamonster.com/2012/11/sounds-of-silence.html It hit me in the middle of the night last night. Anyways I have been reading more and blogging less, and I'm okay with that :)

I say, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING! We moms need to hear from you and others about the daily grind! You are helping other moms by providing recipes (that's how I found your blog today!), entertainment and just a cyber pat-on-the-back to say "it's ok that your kid screwed up today, it's ok that you screwed up today. It's going to be ok." Don't you find too, that when you write , you start to feel better about the situation? I am a wife and mom of eight. I started writing on Tumblr (check it out...it's called "The Best I Can") and as I do I find myself laughing out loud. At the time some of the things happened it seemed terrible, but as I wrote, I realized: not the end of the world! So, keep writing and sharing! You, no doubt, are inspiring others! Thank you!
  3. Sigh....I'm going through the same exact thing. Doing a blog makeover right now, which I hope will help inspire me to continue blogging. I've kind of lost my passion for it.
  4. I like what you have, and what you do. I did enjoy the featured guest posts, but I also think you're doing great with what you have right now. I'm trying to get back on the blogging bus myself, it's difficult sometimes, yes? Rusti recently posted..how do they do it?My Profile
  5. I'd follow you no matter what you did. Well, maybe not if you started bible thumping or a sober living space.... Anyway, I'm not that into the recipes, but that is just because I haven't eaten a carb since August :) Poppy recently posted..Would You Attend An Event Called The Erotic Ball?My Profile
