citizenpip: The New-School Lunch Bag

Tater likes to carry things around. And he likes to carry his things in things. First it was a backpack that he filled with all sorts of little boy treasures…his tools, a few crayons, a car or two. And that made him happy.

Then he wanted to carry more crap stuff around. So he went from a backpack to a little suitcase on wheels. In his suitcase he carried even more toys, more crayons, more cars, and who knows what else. He loves his suitcase and even carries it around the house. Probably so he can lug his treasures around without having to keep running up and down stairs for them.

I was recently contacted by citizenpip and asked if I would like to review their reusable, muck-free lunch gear. It’s the future of lunch boxes, and they are awesome, I tell you!

Here are some things you should know about the gear:

  • waste-free: eliminates waste from disposable food wrappers, baggies, plastic utensils, paper napkins, etc.
  • muck-free: tested by a CPSIA certififed lab to be free of lead, BPA, and phthalates
  • flexible: accommodates other containers and food items. go ahead! throw in that banana or orange
  • practical: easy to clean, airtight, leakproof, protects food from getting smushed
  • made for kids: fun colors, easy to open and close, perfectly sized for snacks, lightweight and durable

Here’s a picture of the one I chose:

Super cute, right?! The bag is waterproof and all of the containers are airtight and leakproof…and made of recycled out of recyclable materials so it’s good for the environment. And the food containers are both freezer and dishwasher safe…easy to store food in and easy to clean. I chose this one because I thought it would be good to tote the girls’ food around in when we are out and about.

Why, you are probably wondering, did I tell you about Tater and how he liked to carry around things? Well because here is Tater when I got the lunch gear in the mail:

He fell instantly in love with it! Never even occurred to me that he might be interested in a lunch bag! He was so excited he made me make his lunch and put it in the containers so we could have a picnic outside. I feel bad now that I didn’t get a boy-themed lunch gear set like this:

Anyways, not only is there enough room in the bag for the thermos, containers, and a piece of fruit, there’s also still room to carry around his treasures. He is now toting the bag with him everywhere.
citizenpip, your product does everything you said it would. I put yogurt in one the containers and it did not leak. The containers are easy to open and close. The lunch bag is easy to clean by just wiping it off. You have a fan in us!
