Last month, after realizing that I just don’t have time to be a mom, work, deal with an entire remodel downstairs, and blog on a regular basis. So I decided to start doing a bi-weekly post called My Life in Pictures. I simply take my photos from Instagram and use them to tell you what I’ve been up to. So here we go!
We added to our family! Meet our two new 1-year-old desert tortoises. They’re super cute and very friendly. And the girls love them.
A little boy started writing Lila love letters at school. She does not “love” him, but she said he’s nice. Thankfully, she’s not at all interested in love letters and boys yet.
I preordered Thug Kitchen Party Grub months ago, and it finally showed up! And now that my kitchen is useable again, I can’t wait to try out some of the recipes in the book! What’s great about these recipes is that they’re all healthy, and so tasty you’d think you were cheating on your diet.
This spring, we started a community garden and planted a ton of stuff, including pumpkins and watermelon. We had over 20 pumpkins, so the kids all get to pick their own for #Halloween!
And then I got lazy. So we ended up buying these Mr. Potato Head kits instead of carving pumpkins. I never liked carving them as a kid, and I still don’t like carving them. And the kids didn’t mind at all. It was a win/win.
The kids and I have started a little fairy garden! It also doubles as a place for the turtles to crawl around without us worrying about losing them. We can’t wait to continue to add to it and watch it grow. Ethan asks me everyday when we can buy more things to add to the little magical garden.
We got our first Happiest Little Baker subscription box, and made some AMAZING chocolate surprise cookies. Ethan can’t wait for next month to see what is coming next!
Halloween! I’m a terrible mom and didn’t take one picture of all three kids dressed up together. So here’s a group shot of all the kids together waiting for it to get dark enough to Trick-Or-Treat!
And last but not least, I think the weather may be finally changing and we are getting some cold, grey mornings here in Southern California. Which after a 90 degree Halloween day, I can’t say I’m not looking forward to sweater and boot weather!
So what’s going on in your neck of the woods? Feel free to leave me a link to a favorite post – I’d love to check them out!
