Monster Likes #18

Photobucket

Every Saturday, it’s Monster Likes time! I list my favorite selection of posts I found throughout bloggy land over the past week.

If one of your posts is listed below and you want the badge, just shoot me an email or leave me a comment and I’ll send you the badge to put on your post!

And now on to the good stuff….

Okay, I admit it…the weather this week was much too nice to be indoors on the computer, and I have been outside in the sun instead of blogging and tweeting. Well, that and I took on two more writing jobs so I have even less time than I’ve ever had before…but having so much fun doing it that it doesn’t even feel like work!

I did have two faves that I had time to jot down, so enjoy them! I’m hoping to get some blog reading done this weekend, so I will definitely have more next week.

Kimberly over at All Work and No Play Makes Mommy Go Something Something did a post all about what nobody tells you about how hard motherhood really is, but why it’s worth it.

Mama Kat says “Down With The Woot“! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, head over now for a laugh.

Also, I wanted to tell you about my new writing jobs. I was given the opportunity to start writing at SmartMomStyle.com and SmartMomPicks.com. It’s SO much fun and I hope that the information that I’m sharing is a help to moms everywhere. So if you have a minute to head over and take a look at the sites (and maybe even sign up for the RSS feed!) I’d appreciate it and would love to hear what you think! Also, if you start seeing tweets from @smartmomtweets, that’s me too! Don’t hesitate to follow and/or say hello!

And if there’s every a product, trend, or topic you think would be great to cover, please let me know!

Many of you know that I write for Babble.com, and so I wanted to share some of the posts that I thought you might get a kick out of from the past week:

These celeb mom quotes about motherhood were honest and spot on! My favorite was Tina Fey’s…I could’ve written it myself!

Penelope Cruz lost her baby weight by dancing a few times a week? I SO don’t buy it!

I LOVE to read, and so to hear about so many celeb moms that find it important enough that they’ve decided to try their hand at writing children’s books? That’s inspiring to me!

Do you believe in old wives tales about how to get your labor started when you’re pregnant and ready to pop?

Do you know what a “push present” is? Did you get one? If so, was it a 10 carat diamond like Rachel Zoe? Yeah, me neither.

Have a great weekend!
