Monster Likes #15

Photobucket

Every Saturday, it’s Monster Likes time! I list my favorite selection of posts I found throughout bloggy land over the past week.

If one of your posts is listed below and you want the badge, just shoot me an email or leave me a comment and I’ll send you the badge to put on your post!

And now on to the good stuff….

If you don’t follow Lori at In Pursuit of Martha Points, what is wrong with you?!? you really should. She is all sorts of hilarious and her stick figure drawings make my day everytime she blesses us with them. She is a true artist. Anyways, she did a post called Giant Fireplace Doom Plumes that TOTALLY will show you what Lori’s all about. And why I love her. Go now.

One of my favorite writers and a great, supportive friend of mine Sherri over at Old Tweener wrote a post that you MUST read if you’re a parent…it’s all about memories and our children growing up. Too quickly, I might add.

Allyson over at The MVP’s of Mesa Town wrote about “the other side” of depression. Her husband suffers from anxiety and depression, and she describes how it feels to be in her shoes. If you or someone you know suffers from a mental illness, you should read this.

Did you miss Mom 2.0 in New Orleans last weekend? Stacey at tree, root, and twig wrote a super honest assessment of the conference. You’ll want to read it!

If you want a beautiful, affordable piece of jewelry that will benefit a good cause, check out Dawn & Deepa, an online children’s jewelry boutique who partnered with nonprofit charity The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, to plant fruit orchards around the world, including in international hunger relief sites, through the sale of an exclusively designed charity necklace.

Finally congratulations to @ruthhill74 for winning my Mr. Bubble giveaway, to @roxisbrilliant for winning my SaltwaterCanvas.com giveaway, and @squashedmom for winning my Paperspring giveaway!

Happy Easter and have a great weekend!

  2. Thank you for including my link, Natalie! And thank you for your comment (and yours too, Liza) on the post. :) Happy Saturday to you!

  3. Thanks for including me, Nat! And I have some reading to catch up on this weekend!

  4. Thank you, lovely lady!

I so love when I make you laugh!

  5. Thanks for this list. I’ll have to check out Allyson’s post. We have some experience with depression over here, so I’m interested to see what she has to say.

  6. I love EVERYTHING Sherri writes, but I look forward to checking out the others. Thanks for always turning me on to great pieces of writing.
