If you’ve been reading Mommy of a Monster for any length of time, you know that my siblings and parents and my family spend A LOT of time together. And if I’m being honest, it’s mostly around a grill with a cold beer in each of our hands. I have 5 siblings, and all of them have kids (my baby brother is expecting his first this September). There’s a total right now of 13 grandkids/cousins, so when we all get together (counting my parents & siblings’ significant others), you’re automatically talking about 25 people if we don’t invite anybody else. So it makes sense that we grill so much. Including on Father’s Day.
Now we all take our grilling very seriously. This is the grilling area in our backyard, which can seat 12+ at a time.
See? That’s a lot of people!
But look closely and you’ll see that sadly right now our grill is all covered up.
Why? Because most of the time we are all at my parents house. Okay…now for the real reason? Jason is the griller. I have no idea how to even turn it on. Ridiculous, I know. With his crazy work schedule lately he gets home too late to grill for dinner. And I know that if I learn how to grill, it becomes my job. It’s a job that I don’t want.
But I also don’t know one man who does not like to be king of his grill! And with these Elite Kenmore grills, Dad or hubby would be crowned King of the Castle on Father’s Day.
Just look this Kenmore grill! It’s gorgeous. And so is all the beautiful food. Who wouldn’t want to eat and drink and be merry around that grill?!
Having a good sized grill is super important. You can literally cook an entire meal – from appetizer to dessert – on the grill. I love that with grilling you can feed the masses and it always reminds everyone of backyard get togethers from their childhoods. Nowadays a grill with capacity, power, even grilling, versatility and design are important. Even though charcoal grills takes me straight back to childhood, nothing beats a good gas grill.
Why Kenmore Grills?
Why Kenmore? It’s the most awarded brand in the industry. And Kenmore grills deliver trusted grilling performance. Period. Owning a Kenmore grill allows backyard chefs to turn their backyards into outdoor kitchens worthy of the title “grill master.” Since we eat most of our summer meals outside, it makes sense for us to have a bomb-ass grill.
Kenmore grills also have some additional features that make them swoon-worthy:
– A large cooking surface and more burners provide plenty of room and heat for every dish. You get the perfect dish every time (if you know what you’re doing.)
– More power because of higher BTUs, which we always need for our big family gatherings. Nobody wants to wait to eat right off the grill!
– Versatility. Depending on the model you can get a wide variety of features like rotisserie attachments (we use ours a lot), side steamers, smokers and ovens. Like your beers and beverages ice cold? You can get a refrigerator in the grill! It sure makes entertaining easier.
– Kenmore has some great grilling accessories as well. I’m coveting several of them to give Jason as a gift for Father’s Day.
What do we cook on the grill? Everything. Appetizers (like those messy looking but delicious Jalapeno Poppers. Grilling doesn’t have to be gourmet…ain’t nobody got time for that when there’s fun to be had with family and friends!) Bread. Meats. Veggies (cut up squash, mushrooms, and onions in tin foil. Throw a stick of butter in and all the seasonings your heart desires. Wrap it in more tin foil and throw it on the top rack of the grill for 20 minutes or so. Heaven.) And I can’t wait to try grilling homegrown watermelon this summer! Or what about grilling up some of these desserts? Still want more grilling recipes? Check out Kenmore’s summer grilling recipes.
