I am trying to lose weight, and avoiding having to work for it or change my eating habits…seriously, I’m no good at this people. This is really the first time in my life that I’ve had issues with my weight or been unhappy with the way I look.
For Mother’s Day, I asked for and recieved some hand weights and a weight bar. I was so excited about it! I enjoy lifting weights and know it’s something I can do whenever I have the time. But I don’t necessarily know what to do with them!
So when I was contacted by Happy Fit Me to do a review of their site, I jumped at the chance!
When I read this quote on their homepage, I knew that the program was for me:
“Happy Fit Me tackles womens fitness from an entirely different angle: A focus on positive movement and happiness. Happy Fit Me makes workouts fun.”
If you say “work out” or “exercise”, I’m immediately not interested…but postive movement and happiness? I’m in.
My favorite part of the site is you can customize the workout plans. Based on the way you answer some simple questions about your fitness level, experience, and goals, there are workout plans put together to suit your needs. Even if you can only workout indoors, there are plans for you!
Then, you can check out the workouts specially prepared for you…as well as some recommended workouts. It tells you the level, length of time it will take to do the workout, and how frequently you should do it (1 or 2 times a week, 2 to 3 times a week).
Each workout is then broken down into the various exercises they are made up of, as well as duration and body parts that will be worked out. If you don’t know what a specific exercise is, you can even see a picture of how to do it!
You can also log your progress and goals…which are based on your happiness and how you feel – NOT what the scale is telling you!
The only issue that I had with the program was that it wasn’t automated. What I mean is that I had to print the workouts out and keep stopping to see what I had to do next. I think it would be cool if you could watch the workout on your computer (or phone!) instead of having to “read” it.
That being said, it also is kind of nice to have them printed out because I might not get 15 or 20 minutes at a time to complete the entire workout – sometimes I do a little here and there. So it was also beneficial for that reason.
Another cool thing about the site is that if you don’t have weights at home to work out with, there’s a section that actually offers up some things that you can use as weights – like a backback or jugs of water. Got stairs in your home? You can use them as well. See? There’s no reason not to be able to workout!
Based on my experience with Happy Fit Me, I would definitely recommend that you check out the site and consider a membership. You can take a quick tour of the site here. It’s only $8 a month to have access to all of this info, and you can cancel at anytime.
But guess what? One of you is going to win a free year long membership! Leave a comment and you’ve got a shot at winning.
