Working With Brands and Getting Paid To Do It

Since I started blogging, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands, and some I’ve even had the pleasure of working with more than once, like the Heart of Haiti who I’ve written about not just here, but over at SmartMomStyles too!

Working with brands is rewarding because you get to actually represent brands that you love….and also, let’s face it, because in most cases you get paid to do it (either with free stuff or with actual money!)

I am a HUGE fan of Clever Girls Collective…I know I’ve told you that before. CGC gave me my first opportunity to write a post for a brand and get paid to do it! I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of my favorite brands through them – brands like Crystal Light, P&G, Turbo Tax, and Tropicana. And it was CGC that introduced me to Heart of Haiti, too.

CGC has recently partnered up with Federated Media to market Daily Buzz Moms, a new site that seeks out the best parenting stuff from the blogosphere and highlights it everyday. It also  provides participants traffic generating opportunities…I was so excited to be featured there a few weeks back and it was a total surprise!

So, if you’re not already a member of Clever Girls Collective, run over there now and sign up to for the network and to become a part of an amazing community! And if you do – please write down my name in the first section of the application as the person you referred you…I’d love to know how many of you do based on my swooning over them!

But I also swoon over Clever Girls Collective because they believe in and support bloggers. Remember back in March I told you that Gigi from Kludgy Mom and I were given a sponsorship to represent Clever Girls Collective at Evo next month? Yep, CGC knows how much Gigi and I love them that they are allowing us to help them spread the word about their network!

It’s such an honor to be able to do that and just wait until you hear about what me and Gigi came up with it’s very clever! But you’ll have to wait a couple of more weeks before we tell you everything…in the meantime, here’s your first hint: you might start seeing some tweets with the hashtag #cleverduo…that’s us!

Disclosure: Clever Girls is sponsoring my trip to the Evo Conference, and I agreed to write a post about the sponsorship. As always, all opinions expressed are completely my own. I truly do puffy heart Clever Girls and am both proud and honored to have been selected to represent them at Evo!

Also…I am giving away a $20 Chili’s gift card, so hop over and check it out for your chance to win appetizers and maybe even a couple of drinks on me. You can get appetizers and drinks for 20 bucks, right?

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the blog and the useful information… but the typos on this page bug the heck out of me.

  9. The solution to your prlebom depends on what your goals are. How much are your mortgage payments? Can you easily afford them, even if you do get caught up? If your goal is to own your own home, consider looking for another house that is being sold as a bank owned property (a foreclosure sale). I just bought a nice house on a big lot and a 2 car garage for $7000 cash. Look on Realtor.com to find a house (you might have to go to another state or city to find it). There are houses out there for under $2000..lots of them now. Just stop paying your mortgage..you can live in your house for up to one year in many cases..just save your money for a few months, buy a foreclosure and live rent and mortgage free for the rest of your life.
