Do you have messy kids? I’ve got two out of three kids who keep their rooms and belongings pretty clean and organized. Well, one of them is extremely clean and organized while the other is relatively clean and organized. I’m not naming any names, but the third child is not even in the realm of being clean and organized. This is her room:

Maybe it’s my fault for not making her clean her room every day, but she definitely would have it just as messy within a few hours again even if she did! I decided it was time to get her room organized. There’s no excuse for her keeping her room like this and there’s no reason to just store everything right on the floor.

Get Organized With Snapware

Snapware offers everyday storage and easy organization solutions that you can use in every room of your home. I use Snapware products because they offer a variety of sizes that allow you to store items big and small. The plastic storage containers come with corners that resist splitting and chipping. So no matter how hard the kids are on them, I don’t have to worry about them breaking them.

By using Snapware containers, this mess of baby dolls all fit into one 16″ box! With just the sound of a SNAP she can tell that the lid is secure.

But the best part of getting organized with Snapware is that the containers are not only durable, but functional, too. They snap and stack together, and have easy-to-carry handles. So this mess of Shopkins can be put into a couple of 14″ containers that can then be stacked on top of each other for storage or she can carry them from her room to make a mess in another room!

And because Snapware containers are see through, she can store them all under her bed and still see what’s inside each one so she doesn’t have to pull everything out to find what she’s looking for.

My favourite tip is to start with one room and job at a time, if not it can be very overwhelming.
  2. I like to start one room at a time. BOOM!

I've started keeping my kids school artwork in seperste piles, one for each kid, in my cupboard and once the pile gets full I put in a storage box like these for safe keeping. Same with there report cards and awards too. ???? and they bring home a lot of school/artwork so I could use these ????
  4. Every time I walk into the garage I try to take one thing out I don't need anymore. That way purging stuff isn't so painful! With snapware I can still keep the stuff I just can't part with and keep it organized in one space
  5. I like to clean out drawers and closets in the Spring. Give away or consign what we don't use and make room for the things we need. These storage tubs would be a huge help!
  6. I am your third daughter all grown up. I follow flylady. It is a wonderful system that allows me not to be overwhelmed by all the mess. I simply do what she tells me to do on any given day and my house stays clean. It is amazing and I love it.

My best tip is to declutter before you try to organize. It doesn't make sense to try to find a spot for things you don't even want anymore. I purge my daughter's toy box after every birthday and holiday to keep things from piling up :)
