Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk (I use low fat)
  • Dark brown sugar, to taste
  • Cinnamon, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Grease a 13x9 pan.
  3. Mix together the butter, sugar, flour and milk until well mixed. It should look like cake batter.
  4. Sprinkle with dark brown sugar and cinnamon to taste. I usually just cover the entire top of the cake with it.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Serve room or at room temperature.

  3. I just made this recipe, but I tweaked it a bit. I cut the measurements in half so I wouldn’t eat so much goodness… And then, instead of 1/2 cup of milk, I added 1/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup plain unsweetened goat milk kefir. It tastes like I added sour cream! Yumm!
Thanks so much for posting this! I can see this coffee cake will quickly become a family favorite!

  4. Thanks for sharing the recipe, it looks moist and delicious!
