Enjoy A Sweet Escape With TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods!

This post was sponsored by Starbucks as part of an Influencer Activation. I received compensation and complimentary products to facilitate my review.

It has been a whirlwind of crazy here over the past few weeks! This is the first official week of summer break, and the last two weeks of school were packed full of activities and play dates. Which explains why I haven’t had time to blog much! Since school got out last Thursday, we’ve been spending time at the pool every day, and for several hours. The kids want to go see movies and have play dates with their friends and be entertained 24/7. Which is why I have been enjoying a daily sweet escape with TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods!

If you love chai tea, you'll love the new TAZO Chai Latte K-Cup pods! Enjoy the rich and creamy taste of chai right in your own home. It's a sweet and spicy escape!

TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods

I love chai tea and the spicy richness of it. If you’ve never tried it, these new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods are the perfect choice. Chai tea is made from milk, tea leaves and spices. It’s been used in India for over 5,000 years. The flavors are bold, and the first sip is always a surprise to me. You taste sweet cinnamon and vanilla, fragrant cardamom, and spicy ginger…it’s like a trip around the world in every sip. It’s both a spicy and sweet escape that I enjoy every morning for a boost of get up and go!

I’ve never been able to find a chai tea to make at home that I love as much as the TAZO® blend. So I was excited to find the new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods so I can enjoy the same rich and creamy flavor I love right in the comfort of my home.

It’s a two step process, which ensures creamy perfection.

If you love chai tea, you'll love the new TAZO Chai Latte K-Cup pods! Enjoy the rich and creamy taste of chai right in your own home. It's a sweet and spicy escape!

It’s super easy to make. You simply add the sweetened dairy blend to your favorite mug, pop the pod into your Keurig and let the Keurig do it’s thing, stir it when it’s done, and then enjoy your sweet and spicy escape!

TAZO® has partnered with New York Times Bestselling author and host Padma Lakshmi to celebrate the release of the new K-Cup® pods. You can learn more at TAZO.com/chai. And make sure to visit because Padma developed recipes that pair perfectly with a cup of chai. How does some baked figs with manchego cheese sound? Delicious, right? Check out her chai latte recipe pairings.

Feeling a bit tired or need a little more energy? Make yourself a dirty chai by adding a shot of espresso to your chai! It’s another favorite way to drink chai.

Game Day Recipe Ideas You Need!

This is a sponsored post full of game day recipe ideas for SheSpeaks and P&G. All opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

A variety of game day recipe ideas for appetizers, drinks, and desserts perfect for the big game or for any party or get together! Includes prep and cleaning tips too.

I really love watching the big game with family and friends, especially when one of our favorite teams is playing! I love to entertain, however, I also want to watch the game. So I usually make lots of finger foods, dips, and easy to eat things that can be prepared in advance. That way, everybody gets to eat yummy foods and I get to still watch the game!

These game day recipe ideas are all perfect for the big game because they can be made in advance and almost all of them can be kept warm in a crockpot.

Game Day Recipe Ideas

If you love jalapeno poppers, I’ve got three different ways to serve them: in wonton wrappers, easy poppers you can throw on the grill, or as a dip.

This Italian sausage and white bean dip is addicting…make a double batch!

These ham & swiss finger sandwiches are always a crowd pleaser, and can be kept warm in a crockpot.

Garlicky chicken pesto pizza can be cut into small squares for easy pick up.

This warm bean dip pulls double duty as both an appetizer and as a filling for burritos.

This cookie dough dip is a favorite of kids & adults!

This holiday popcorn can be made anytime of the year. And trust me when I say to make extra because it will be gone before you know it!

Pickleback Shots anyone? It’s a fun way to do a shot (if you like pickle juice!)

Make your own edible shot glasses using your team’s colors with Jolly Ranchers (you can make Jolly rancher vodka, too!)

I’ve got lots of appetizers, cocktails, and dessert recipes here, and on my Tailgating & Party Food board on Pinterest too.

Honestly, game day can be messy. You’ve got people eating on your couches, lots of spills because you’re only half paying attention, and stains on clothing is almost always a given. With P&G products at Walmart, clean up can be a breeze!

A variety of game day recipe ideas for appetizers, drinks, and desserts perfect for the big game or for any party or get together! Includes prep and cleaning tips too.

Bounty Select-A-Size Paper Towels are a must have for entertaining. The Unique Trap & Lock Technology quickly absorbs messes both big and small and makes clean up a snap. Also use them to serve finger foods, or fold them up and use as napkins. These are a regular staple at my house because you can use them everywhere.

Don’t forget to stock up your bathroom with Charmin Ultra Strong Mega Rolls!  These tw0-ply toilet paper mega rolls  are 4times stronger when wet than the leading bargain brand, are clog-safe and septic-safe, and with a washcloth-like texture that helps clean better than the leading flat-textured bargain brand toilet papers. And it’s so soft!

You should also make sure you have a can of Febreze Air Effects Linen & Sky spray in the bathroom to keep it smelling fresh because Febreze actually eliminates tough odors rather than covering them up. And the best part is that the fine mist infuses air with a scent that is subtle, not overpowering…perfect in a busy bathroom.

And after all the fun, finish the clean up with Tide PODS…another staple here. Yes, they may seem more expensive than traditional detergents, but they are a 3-in-1: they’re actually detergent, stain remover, and brightener all in one tiny pack! And Tide PODS do more than detergent alone: they’ll get your laundry 6 times more clean and target tough stains (basically anything the kids wear!) with specially formulated with HE Turbo technology. They work in any temperature of water and in standard and HE machines.

I also have some quick and easy cleaning tips for when you don’t have time to clean that will help you prep for game day.

From prepping to clean up, you’ll find everything you need to make your game day a winner at Walmart.

Juicing Recipes: Jay’s (Almost) Famous Fruit Juice

A few years back, Jason and I sat down and watched a movie called Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. It’s about a man named Joe Cross who was unhealthy and miserable. He decided to reclaim his own health by trading in junk food and vowing only to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice for 60 days. Basically he came up with all of these juicing recipes and lived on them, which I’m pretty sure I could do too.

The movie was eye-opening and inspiring, and if you haven’t seen it I think it’s worth the watch.

Anyways…since seeing the movie, we bought a juicer and initially started juicing Joe’s Mean Green Juice, which we still both love.

Since then, we have tried several other juicing recipes and even created some of our own. One of our favorites is Jason’s fruit juice recipe. Anytime we feel yucky or want to drop a few pounds we whip up a big batch of this juice and drink it a couple of times a day. Right now, Jason is fighting off a sore throat and drinking all of those nutrients and vitamins really helps. And it tastes really, really good!

So I thought I’d share Jay’s (almost) famous juicing recipe with you. Like all of my recipes, you can tweak it to suit your family’s tastes, half the recipe, or double it. It takes a little prep work to get the fruits all ready to juice, but it’s worth it.

We use the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and it works just fine for us. Sure I’d like one of the uber expensive ones, but this one was less than $100 and does everything we need it to do.

Juicing Recipes: Jay’s (Almost) Famous Fruit Juice

This juicing recipe is full of apples, oranges, watermelon, pineapple, &more! It's so good the kids ask for it daily. Also includes other juicing recipes.

Your measurements don't have to be exact! A little more or a little less of any of these fruits will not make a difference.

  • 4 oranges, peeled and halved

  1. Wash all your produce well.
  2. Cut up all of the fruit so that it will fit into the mouth of your juicer.
  3. Juice it all!
  4. Pour over ice and enjoy! You can also blend up the juice with some ice to make it a smoothie.

I just purchased this 101 Juice Recipes cookbook from Amazon. It’s got some great juicing recipes that I can’t wait to try! And I’m always looking for new juicing recipes, so if you have one, please share!

Wake Up Your Water With These Flavored Water Recipes!

Since I’m trying working really hard to get myself into shape (even though I just took a 2-week hiatus for no reason at all except that I got lazy), I drink a lot of water. I try to drink only water, with a cup of coffee or green tea thrown in. I try to stay away from juices, sodas, and (my favorite) lemonade. But water can get boring if you don’t liven it up. Here are a couple of my favorite flavored water recipes that will wake up your water.

You can wake up boring water with these easy, and healthy flavored water recipes! Includes two recipes as well as links to others. Never drink soda again!

Once you make these flavored waters, they will last in the fridge for a few days. But I usually drink a gallon or more a day so I rotate the recipes throughout the week. Also, if you drink ice cold water it helps you burn more calories. Learn more about why drinking ice water burns calories here.

Minty Lemon and Cucumber Flavored Water

This one is my favorite. It’s also called detox water because it helps cleanse out your system (but doesn’t all water?) and also helps you not feel hungry throughout the day.

  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • Handful of mint sprigs
  • (Optional and yummy) 2 rosemary sprigs

  • 1 apple sliced (I like to use green apples for the tartness)
  • Handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Ice

  1. In a 2 to 2-1/2 quart pitcher, add the mint and rosemary and crush lightly. Add water, cucumber, and lemon. Chill an hour or two for the flavors to combine in the water. Add ice cubes just before serving.
  2. Add the cinnamon into a 2 to 2-1/2 quart pitcher. Next add the water and other ingredients. Chill an hour or two for the flavors to combine in the water. Add ice cubes just before serving.

I have a few other flavored water recipes that I love.

This basil, lemon, strawberry and watermelon flavored water recipe is my newest addiction. I can’t wait until summer gets here and watermelon is a lot cheaper than it is right now! I think I’ll be living on this water!

The Yummy Life has a ton of flavored water recipes that I enjoy – try the Raspberry Lime and the Pineapple Mint.

Still looking for more flavored water ideas? I have several on my board Beverages on Pinterest. And I have lots of healthy recipes here.

If you have a flavored water recipe that you love, please share it! I’d love to add it to my list!
