Where I’ve Been This Week 2012: Week 12

I get around! Here are some other things I’ve been up to this week…

Everyday Family

Today is the first day of Spring! In honor of one of my favorite seasons, I shared some tips for gardening with kids. Follow these simple tips and it will be a breeze to have the kids help in the garden.

Over at Moonfrye, I shared a snapshot titled Spring Planting…also in honor of Spring. Don’t forget that you don’t have to start everything from seeds or from plants you buy at Home Depot! If you have kitchen scraps, you can  regrow red onions and plant onion sets. You can also regrow celery, garlic, and green onions simply as well.

Did you know you can share your snapshotson Moonfrye.com, too? Head over to check out how to share your snapshots on Moonfrye.

And here on Mommy of a Monster, I’m announcing the winners and revealing the answers to the fun Name That Kindergartner post I shared last week! Head over to see which picture belonged to me and to see if you guessed right!

Do you remember when I shared Dan Henig’s rendition of Lil’ Jon’s Get Low? I LOVE both Dan Henig and Get Low…and guess what? Dan Henig is at it again! This time I’m sharing Dan Henig singing Macklemore’s Thrift Shop. You can thank me later.

Where I’ve Been This Week 2012: Week 10

I have been busy writing at a couple of other sites, and I think they are posts you will enjoy!

Everyday Family

If you are looking for some fun things to do with your family but don’t want to spend a lot of money, I give you 4 fun family date night ideas that were hits at our house.

One of the things I mentioned for family date night is playing board games, so I wrote a follow up post with 5 board games the whole family will enjoy.

Considering a family vacation? An all inclusive resort or cruise may be the perfect plan, especially if you have little ones to keep busy.

Moonfrye

Over at Moonfrye, I wrote a really fun post about 10 Things I Never Thought I’d Say (Before I Had Kids). It includes some of your quotes! Head over and see if yours was included.

I also shared a snapshot titled Time to Replant a red onion that had sprouted (if you want to know how to replant onions, check out my post on how to regrow red onions and plant onion sets.) Where I’ve Been This Week 2012: Week 8

Happy Wine Wednesday!

It’s been a rough month for me here. Many of you know that I have a wine site called Have Wine, Will Drink….but don’t go there! I found out earlier this month that the site was hacked and infected with malware.

Google blacklisted the site. To fix it will be costly. I decided to shut it down.

Sad, I tell you.

So I removed all the Have Wine links from here (not fun or easy), and I am in the process of shutting down the wine site completely.

I didn’t want to delete all of the posts – some of them were really good! So I decided to move them over to Mommy of a Monster. Here are some of my favorites.

Looking for a big, bold Italian red wine? Then you’ll love my Riondo Amarone review.

Ever heard someone say a wine had a lot of tannins? What are tannins? I give you the answer.

What is a wine aerator? It’s a wine gadget that you should own if you enjoy drinking a good glass of wine.

And everybody always asks: how long does a bottle of wine stay good for once it’s been opened? Well, I wouldn’t know because I never have wine that doesn’t get finished. But, if you do, you can find out how long open wine stays good for here.

Did you know I have a category on my blog dedicated to wine? I do! Check out my wine category for lots of fun wine info, gadgets, and even a recipe or two.

Everyday Family

I’m sharing tips for how to get your morning routine to flow more smoothly. It’s really not as hard as it seems!

Moonfrye

Over at Moonfrye, I’m talking about postpartum depression because somebody has to! It’s still such a taboo topic and I think it’s important to share words about it. If you’ve experienced PPD, please leave a comment on my post there for others to read. Your experience will help a new mom feeling what you did.

I also shared a snapshot of Mia and her love of reading. Did you know you can share your snapshots as well? Head over to check out how to share your snapshots on Moonfrye.
