I’m Back On The Wagon: Today Begins My Journey With BodyRock.TV Workouts

So way back in April, I decided to commit to working out by doing the Brazil Butt Lift for 1 month. After all, one month is only 30 days, right? And I had hoped by then I would become addicted to working out and keep wanting to do it. Not so much. Which is why today marks the beginning of another workout month for me…this time by trying out BodyRock.TV workouts.

Now lots of people want to know: does the Brazil Butt Lift work, and I’m here to tell you it does. In just one month I lost over 11 inches on my arms, chest, waist, hips, and thighs. I also lost almost 9 pounds. At the beginning of the month I said at the end I’d post before and after pictures, and I did. And I felt awesome, my body felt awesome, and I was starting to look pretty damn good with my new rockin’ body. And then? At the end of the 30 days? I stopped completely. Not one more workout after I posted my before and after pics in June.

So now we are almost at the beginning of November. In just four months, I have ruined all that I worked so hard for. Just look at this:

Yep. I’ve gained back 9 of those 11.25 inches that I had lost. I’ve also gained back 3.7 of the 8.6 pounds I lost. Dude! Look at that! Almost 5 inches of that is back in my waist! My waist is actually bigger now than it was before I even started the Brazil Butt Lift. Awesome. I don’t fit in my clothes again, the cellulite is back, and I can’t stand looking at myself in the mirror.

So after chatting with my friends Sili from My Mamihood and Lucrecer from Living the good life, we decided we’d try something together – BodyRock.TV – which basically gives you a (kick your ass) workout each day. We started a facebook group to help support and motivate each other…and let’s be honest, to keep each other in check. I’m starting today.

Here’s our Day 1 Workout- The Hot Dirty Lust Workout on BodyRock.TV

I told you that these workouts are kick-your-ass workouts! Do you want to join us on our journey? I know it looks hard but believe me, YOU CAN DO IT! If you’d like to join us, let me know and I’ll add you to our facebook group!

I have come to understand I am not one of those people who will ever love/look forward to a workout, and that’s okay. As long as I can continue to motivate myself in someway to do it, I know I will do it. I can commit to a month, and then going forward I already have motivation – I am going to Vegas in March for my birthday and I want to rock a cute mini skirt and boots. And I want my legs to look awesome in that mini skirt!

Wish me luck, and you know you’ll see my weekly results. And at the end of 30 days, I will be posting before and after pics…not in a bikini this time, but you’ll still get to see them. Let’s just hope that I can lose all those inches I gained back and then some. Any tips, tricks or words to motivate are welcome!

I need your input! If you haven’t taken my Mommy of a Monster survey and have (literally) a minute to do so, I’d love to hear what you think and appreciate your feedback!

  1. You. Can. Do. It. After my workout this morning, I predict I won't be able to lift my arms past my legs by 3 p.m. But man, I know I'm going to be feeling good (eventually). Let's do it!!!!! Sili recently posted..The Chancleta Chronicles: How I Handle PestsMy Profile
  2. I honestly think it's really about finding something you LOVE to do! I never thought I'd look forward to working out until I stumbled upon Jillian Michael's Body Revolution, ChaLEAN Extreme and Shaun T's Rockin Body workouts. I actually really love it....sounds strange but it's true!!! You just gotta tell yourself you can do this....set your mind to it and just make it part of your daily routine!! You got this!!! • I keep hearing about Body Revolution....maybe I will check that out next. I think I'm going to end up rotating between BodyRock and the Butt Lift since I like both of them.
  3. I only watched the first few minutes of the video but she scares me.... I don't think I can do that burpee push up thing she's doing! Jackie recently posted..Monday Menu ~ Chicken SoupMy Profile
  4. You can do it. The first workout is always the hardest. Posting my measurements is going to suck, but I am going to do it. I blame my height challengeness for hiding my poundage! So glad you are doing this.
  5. I think i need to do something like this, but being in the UK I have no idea about this workout!! Being a mum to 3, working full time etc etc I just don't get the time! I need some kind of office work out to try... :-D x Susanne@babyhuddle recently posted..Things I have learned since becoming a mumMy Profile
  6. Confession-I joined a gym because they offer day care and I need a break sometimes. I now workout at least 4 times a week because my kids drive me NUTS and I need a break from them. Working out just to get away from my kids=best workout plan I've ever tried. Good luck to you! Twingle Mommy recently posted..Confessions on Mark's ProgressMy Profile
  7. Sounds like the Brazilian Butt Lift really worked for you. Like a previous poster said, you have to find something you like. . . . . I'm still searching. LOL. I've run through a lot of things I've started . . . Right now I'm training for a 5K and because the threat of public humiliation, I'm probably gonna stick to the training at least until the race. P90X on the other hand was more of a P16X instead. Ms. Understood recently posted..Are you serious? My Profile
  8. I need to do something new, too. I'm kind of hurt, so I can't run as much as I have been, yet I am still eating like I run a marathon every day. Yikes. (I'm scared of that workout :) ) You can do this! (A birthday mini skirt wearing Vegas party is a pretty awesome motivation tool!) angela recently posted..Under Our FeetMy Profile

  10. Love the name of the work-out. You can totally do it Hot Mama! I've been blogging less and busting my butt more and it is so worth it. Now I just need a trip to Vegas. Sigh. Poppy recently posted..Would You Attend An Event Called The Erotic Ball?My Profile
