L’Oreal Paris BB Cream Review And What Is BB Cream?

BB Cream. You might have heard about these new creams and wondered what the heck “BB” even means. I was also lucky enough to score some L’Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream from She Speaks so I could offer you a BB cream review, and thought I’d find out what all the hype was about. And also answer the question what is BB cream?

What is BB Cream?

BB cream stands for blemish balm or beauty balm. These types of balms are known to have brighteners in them and make your skin look amazing.

L’Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream actually refers to their “BB” as Beautifying Beads. These beads contained encapsulated pigments infused in an ultra-light lotion with antioxidants Vitamins C&E.

Think of a BB cream as a multi-tasking skin beautifier. L’Oreal’s  delivers four beautifying actions in one. When you use it, your skin is hydrated, corrected, evened out and perfected. It transforms to your perfect shade for a flawless, bare skin finish.

They claim that over time you’ll notice more beautiful skin. That’s worth a shot to try, don’t you think?

BB Cream Review

bb_cream_reviewI was excited to get my BB Cream review started. L’Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream looks like a white lotion with little beads in it. WHITE lotion. I thought there was no way that it would match my skin color. I was wrong though.

L’Oreal recommends using your finger tips to apply the cream. The first time I tried it and did just that, and I didn’t like the results. I don’t know if I didn’t use enough or what, but I couldn’t see any difference at all and couldn’t even tell that I had anything on my face other than lotion.

The second time I tried it, I was very happy with the results. I used my normal make-up brush and spread it evenly over my face. The results were instant and this time noticeable.

The BB cream is not cakey or heavy, it’s easy to apply and really does match your skin tone perfectly.

My skin was more even and while it looked like I didn’t have any makeup on, my skin looked flawless. This is makeup I could wear out of the house with just a bit of lip gloss, eye shadow, and mascara and look put together but not overdone.

Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. But I’ll be honest and say I think I’ll use this more during the warm months when my skin normally looks better. During the winter it gets even paler than usual and gets red too. I need more makeup during the winter months because my skin revolts against me.

But during spring and summer where nobody wants to wear a lot of makeup anyways? This BB cream will be perfect.

So there you have it, my L’Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream review. And you also learned what BB cream really is!

  2. I would love to see the brush you used for application. I guess I am out of the makeup loop, because I didnt know you could/should use a brush for liquid foundation. I thought that was just for powder. I have used makeup sponges, or fingertips for liquid. Educate me :)
    • Yep, I love my brush! Here's a link to the one I use: http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-airbrush-finish-bamboo-foundation-brush Like any good makeup brush, they aren't cheap. But take care of them and you will have it forever. On a side note, I HIGHLY recommend tarte brushes and their foundation is absolutely AMAZING!
  3. I sort of said the same thing in my review. In the winter, I definitely need a moisturizer under it. In the summer, it might be a good standalone product. I just did my review on Monday and it has video of me looking really bad! http://allthingsfadra.com/2013/02/bb-cream-demystified-can-beauty-come-in-a-balm/ Fadra recently posted..Keeping Kindergarten Art Alive (thanks to Art Room Aid)My Profile
