Happy Earth Day! Being green is really important to me; I compost, I use homemade cleaning products, I reuse and recycle, I grow veggies and fruits, I bring my own bags to the store…just little things, but if we all do those little things, they have a HUGE impact on the Earth today and for our children in the future.
Last year, I wrote a post about ways to go green without breaking the bank…and this year, I’m happy to be celebrating Earth Day here on my blog again.
I’m also happy to announce that I’m one of the B Kind 2 Earth Day state leaders! This means I’m helping spread the word about the B Kind 2 Earth day project and hope you’ll help me continue to spread the word.
The mission of the project is to encourage people to promise to do at least one earth-friendly action on April 22, 2011 — and beyond. I and many, many others have promised to do one nice thing for the Earth on April 22nd to make Earth Day really mean something.
What am I going to do? We are planting our seeds to start our veggie garden!
What can you do? Take your kids on a walk, ditch the disposable grocery bags, shop online, do a park clean-up, install a bird feeder – whatever it is, big or small, your actions to love, respect and B Kind 2 Earth will add up!
Then go to the B Kind 2 Earth Day Facebook page and share what you plan to do and inspire others to do the same!
And if you like this idea, help me spread the word! Talk about it on your blog or Facebook, tweet about it on Twitter using the hashtag #kind2earth. Anything you can do to help will help!
