One-Glass White Sangria Recipe

I enjoy a refreshing glass of sangria every now and then…notice I said one glass. I don’t like sangria enough to make an entire bottle’s worth for just me, so usually when I make it, I end up making it for parties and get togethers. And then I thought: why couldn’t I make just a glass? I don’t really need to use a whole bottle. That’s how I came up this One-Glass White Sangria Recipe.

Sometimes nothing sounds more refreshing than a glass of sangria. This White Sangria recipe makes just one glass! Also includes recipe for an entire bottle.

Ingredients

  • 2 strawberries, sliced
  • 2 blackberries
  • 5 raspberries
  • 5 blueberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • Fruity Chardonnay or a dry Sauvignon Blanc
  • Splash of lemon lime soda (like Sprite)

Instructions

  1. Cut up all of the berries and sprinkle the sugar on top of them. Place in the refrigerator and let sit while your wine chills, about 20 minutes.
  2. Put the berries into a wine glass. Pour a splash of Sprite over the berries (I use a little less about 1/4 cup). Fill with wine.

Notes

If you'd like to make this recipe using an entire bottle of Chardonnay, simply multiply all ingredients by four and use a full bottle of wine. If you pour glasses like I do, you'll get about four glasses per bottle. If you aren't as generous, you can get six or so.

Save time & money! You can buy frozen “berry blend” mixes in the grocery store…that’s what I used in the photo above. Instead of adding a specific amount of each berry, just put a couple of scoops of the mix in a bowl and top with sugar. Not only will you always have berries on hand, but they’ll also act as edible ice cubes.

I have also shared another white sangria recipe before! Check out my Peach and Orange Sangria, Amaretto Mimosa, and my Cranberry Mimosa recipes for more delightful sips. And check out my Beverages for Adults board on Pinterest.

Looking For A Cool iPhone Case? You Will LOVE BellaVita!

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite gifts that I received this holiday season. In fact, it’s one of the best gifts I’ve received this year! It’s a cool iPhone case that I now couldn’t live without – it’s my BellaVita wristlet.

cool_iphone_cases

I am one of those people who hate carrying purses, though I have many of them. Whether I’m running into the grocery store, taking the kids to the park, or going to pick Ethan up from school, I hate lugging my purse around. I was instead leaving my purse in the car and just taking my keys and iPhone with me.

But now I don’t have to do that anymore…in fact, I rarely carry anything other than my BellaVita wristlet.

These wristlets come in a variety of colors and are made from soft genuine leather. Not only will it safely house your iPhone, you can also keep your ID, credit cards, and some cash in it too. I even attached a key ring to it and I’m now using it as my regular purse.

These cool iPhone cases would make a great gift – just look at the box it comes in!

If a wristlet isn’t your thing, or maybe you are a man and wishing they had wallets, they do! The only difference is that the wallet doesn’t have the removable wrist strap on it. If you’re a woman, I suggest you get the wristlet and then remove the strap when you aren’t using it. Then you have the best of both worlds!

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE my wristlet! I really, really, REALLY love it. I also get a ton of compliments and “where can I get one of those” when I’m out and about with it.

Now I know you want one…and you should definitely get one! I’ve told you how crazy I am about mine – but the one thing I’m not so crazy about is the price. The wristlets are regularly priced $85, but are currently on sale for $65. Pricey, but I think it’s always worth paying for quality when you are buying high quality leather goods (hence my obsession with expensive purses, I guess).

If that seems out of your price range, you still have a chance to get one of your own! Go check out the BellaVita  monthly giveaway now through February 2013. You could win your choice of a a BellaVita iPhone 4,4S Wristlet or Wallet. A drawing will be held on the 15th of each month, and a lucky winner announced on their Facebook page, so make sure you “like” them there, too! Hurry! You have time to enter this month and the next two months…good luck!

Disclosure: I received a BellaVita wristlet in exchange for this review. As always, all opinions expressed are my own. And yes, I have been raving about my wristlet online and offline and will continue to do so!

We survived Christmas! The Day After Christmas explains how we celebrated and how I always feel let down the day after.

And right here on Mommy of a Monster and Twins, I’ve got an awesome review coming up for a product you will definitely want – and it may be one of my favorite reviews ever.

Did you see my chocolate pudding shots recipe? These would be great to make for New Year’s Eve…and if you have leftover candy canes like I do, why not make some candy cane infused vodka? Jolly Rancher infused vodka is always a hit too! And if you are looking for appetizer ideas you can find lots of them here.
