Round 3 of Word Up, YO! is here!!
I am really excited that so many of you jumped into our vocabulary meme. I have learned a lot about your gullets and your foibles! I’m hoping that you will hook up with us this week for another word challenge.
Today, we our announcing our winner of last week’s word challenge! The word was foible…and there were some very witty, funny posts using the word. It was not an easy decision, but we had a lot of fun reading all the posts! It took some time, and we’ve narrowed it down to one, very creative foible user…the winner by a unanimous decision is:

I like this Word Up, YO! idea and maybe I will give it a try (even if I think it's hard for me as german is my mother language) but I love special words and I love the word "plethora" – even if I have never ever heard this word before…

Just wanted to say that this is an awesome meme! I have yet to participate, but I will one of these days. And your Nerd Mafia button is great.
OK, there doesn't seem to be enough time in a day but I saw that you were able to muti-task and you really inspired me. Plus I LOVE the word plethora and believe it or not I'm a lover of words. BOGGLE is MY game. Seriously. Since I was a kid and my kids are now word lovers. Gonna try to squeeze it in.
Ok, so this week I am DETERMINED to participate in this meme, because I happen to use "plethora" REGULARLY in my vocabulary (I know, I'm a nerd!) But as I sit here thinking of a post to write to include the word … I'm … BLANK!!! (I hate how that happens!) Well, I'll be back!

Hey Natalie, I have to say that plethora is such a great word. I used to teach my fourth graders the word early in the year and they used it all the time. This is such a great idea. I just read your post about blogging and have to agree with you. Lets see, about comments you are so right. People take the time to visit your blog, so it is right to visit back and leave meaningful comments back. I remember writing about not being able to get pregnant and how sad I was and a commenter said something like "great story". Anyway, I always enjoy visiting your blog and think you are doing an A-list job! Have a great Sunday!
